The First World

'I was told that everyone I'd served with in the military died shortly after I left. Today, I saw one of my old squadmates, homeless, digging through the trash behind a convenience store. He had an unbelievable tale to tell.'
The First World is a universe existing at the centre of the Multiverse structure discovered by Heath. While affected by the spatial rupturing caused by The Crushing Fist, it is better protected than the other multiverse realities contained within the Outer Shield due to the existence of an additional golden Inner Shield. This shield can only be penetrated by specific signalling devices that look like Metallic Chips. The First World has previously been allied with the Brownshirts, who at the time were a society of ascended beings of pure energy. The Brownshirts helped create the mechanisms that generate the shields and also helped grow the branches of realities known as the Branch Worlds.
This reality is largely populated by the rich and powerful, and its inhabitants are well aware of the existence of the multiverse and The Crushing Fist. They also constructed many Portal hub facility type sites which are used for interdimensional travel, as well as other military installations. The military of The First World (Command) are the maintainers of the Inner Shield and Outer Shield which protects the grouping of universes populated by humans.
Due to its existence within the Inner Shield, The First World has become a focal point for the force of The Crushing Fist. The vast mechanisms generating the two shields are under immense pressure, which would normally be distributed and dispersed to the Branch Worlds. As the force is continuing to rise, it is being concentrated by the multiversal structures directly on The First World itself via the Inner Shield. This is also causing a significant amount of heat to be generated from the shield generator machines, which is causing unusual changes to the weather conditions on the world.
The First World maintains a presence on numerous nearby parallel and pocket or shard universes, which are used for agriculture, resource gathering, or in the case of Teskoy Prison, a penal establishment.
The First World has been at war with the Yngtak for a very long time, with Conn Thompson describing them as eternal antagonists to The First World.
