Josh was a highschool student at the same time The Author was in his freshman year. He was part of the school soccer team, and briefly dated Caitlin.
Josh and The Author ended up being rivals due to his relationship with Caitlan. He was initially sceptical of The Author's ability to detect unusual or supernatural events and entities, but left The Author alone after the encounter with a homeless man who had entered the school.
Traits:
Sports player, sceptical of the supernatural. Displays bullying tendencies, likely in part due to his status in school as a sports player, and through not wanting to show fear in dangerous situations.
