The Facehugging Plant Pods are a plant-based entity, capable of floating through the air. They are apparently non-sentient, and use carbon dioxide and possibly heat to track their prey. When in close proximity with a suitable life form, the pods will open and attempt to latch themselves around the head and over the face of the victim. Asphyxiation of the victim will usually occur, unless the pod is forcibly removed first.
Traits:
Non-intelligent life form, identifies potential prey based on its emissions of Carbon Dioxide and body heat. Tends to move in swarms.
